Illinois' Kids in Crisis

Every day, 433,390 kids in Illinois leave school with nowhere to go.1  They risk being unsupervised, unguided and unsafe.

State funding for after-school programs providing
supervision; positive guidance and a safe place for Illinois at-risk youth was cut by almost half from 2008-2015.  As of now, given the lack of a state budget in Illinois, there has been no state funding for after-school programs targeted toward at-risk youth
since July 1, 2015.
